Mark joined Urban Land Interests in 2014, having served in various roles across the organization over his tenure. With a background in real estate, construction and finance, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge to help tenants find their ideal space in his current role as Lead Broker.

Emily has been with Urban Land Interests since 2017 and is a key member of the commercial leasing team. With a strong background in customer service, she is committed to understanding client needs and delivering customized real estate solutions. She takes pride in fostering lasting partnerships, enhancing the downtown community, and bringing hard work, positivity, and a people-focused approach to every interaction. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting the Dane County Farmers’ Market, patio season at the Memorial Union, and hiking in the Arboretum.

Alex joined the team in 2025 as a Senior Design and Construction Project Manager, overseeing commercial construction projects across the portfolio, including tenant build-outs and common area improvements. A certified commercial interior designer with a background in workplace design and project management, Alex brings a thoughtful blend of design expertise and executional leadership to every project.

She enjoys the dynamic nature of her work, where no two days are the same. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders and guiding fast-paced tenant improvement projects from concept to completion are among the aspects she finds most rewarding.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with her family and never misses an opportunity to celebrate life with a sweet treat.

Rebecca Fitzmaurice joined Urban Land Interests in 2025 as a Construction Project Manager. She brings a background in mixed-use, multi-family architectural urban infill projects and has a Project Management Professional certificate with experience managing both software development and large-scale architectural project lifecycles. Contributing to a sustainable and dynamic urban community inspires Rebecca’s commitment to cross-departmental collaboration with a tailored, process driven project management approach. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys exploring Wisconsin’s outdoor recreation with her family.

Steve Gibson is the Director of Residential Property Management at Urban Land Interests and a licensed real estate broker.  Steve aligns the mission, vison, and values of Urban Land Interests to positively impact the residential portfolio.  Steve has over thirty years of experience overseeing conventional, affordable and student housing in multiple markets across the United States.  During his career, Steve has managed portfolios of over 4,000 units and has overseen multiple lease-ups, major renovations and capital projects.  Steve’s love of problem solving and being part of a team dynamic are what he enjoys the most about property management.  Outside of work Steve likes spending time in his garden growing fruits and vegetables as well as supporting the Badgers and Packers.  

Heather Imrie joined Urban Land Interests in 2017, bringing with her 15+ years of experience in the restaurant industry and a deep passion for customer service. In her role, she leads the Residential Leasing Team, working closely with her team to tackle day-to-day challenges and enhance the leasing experience across ULI’s communities. She thrives on problem-solving and finding solutions that improve the renter journey. Heather also oversees marketing efforts across ULI’s residential, commercial, and parking departments. She plays a key role in brand management, content strategy, and visual storytelling, ensuring ULI’s diverse portfolio is showcased in a fresh and engaging way. She enjoys expressing her creative and artistic side through marketing design, crafting visuals and messaging that bring each property to life. Outside of work, she enjoys taking her dog to the park, spending time outdoors, and unwinding with a good comedy.

Lauren Lazarz serves as the Senior Property Manager over our Residential Team.  She began her career at ULI in 2017 and has been practicing in the area of property management in the Madison area for many years previously.  In her role, Lauren oversees the Property Managers and Residential Coordinator ensuring consistency in housing practices,  brings hands on experience to new developments, and maintains the upbeat, dynamic collaboration her team brings to the office daily.  The downtown apartment market in Madison is ever changing, and Lauren greets changes and challenges with a conversational, actionable approach which fosters synergy between members of her team, as well as those she comes in contact with.  In her free time, Lauren enjoys all sorts of TV shows and movies, building and moving homes, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. 

As the Residential Maintenance Manager, Michael Hewitt wears many hats and has the knowledge and willpower to tackle any situation with confidence and a can-do attitude.  Mike has been with ULI since 2015 and has a vast knowledge of the communities and intricacies that make up our downtown portfolio.  Mike has been in the maintenance industry for 24 years and is an advocate for his team to always go for their goals which expand their experience by pursuing additional certifications. Mike strives to cultivate a synergetic, collaborative team of maintenance technicians who can assert their abilities, have a voice at the table, and plan for long-term success within our ULI team.  Away from work, Mike enjoys coaching baseball, fishing and spending time with his family.
 

Sophia has been with Urban Land Interests since 2022, specializing in Property Management.  She began her career with ULI as the Administrative Assistant and quickly evolved into a Property Manager overseeing both 3rd party and ULI owned communities with retail spaces.  With many years in Customer Service, Sophia strives to provide each resident with a place they are happy to call home and feels most fulfilled when she gets the opportunity to engage with her residents at social events or around the community. Sophia loves to spend time up at her cabin, kayaking, and taking her two dogs swimming. 

Kendall joined ULI in 2023 as a residential leasing agent before advancing to Property Manager in the spring of 2025. Drawing on a strong background in customer service, she oversees daily community operations alongside long-term property initiatives, proactively addressing resident needs and fostering a welcoming environment. Kendall’s ability to connect with people, anticipate needs, and resolve challenges efficiently makes her a vital asset to her team and residents alike. Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with family and friends, exploring local restaurants, and attending Madison’s vibrant concerts and events

Wendy has been with Urban Land Interests since 2001, specializing in low income housing. With a background in property management for over 25 years and a passion for her tenants, Wendy is the go-to person on HUD. Outside of work, Wendy enjoys her grandkids, boating and spending time at her cabin in Minocqua.

Hayden Hickman has been part of the Urban Land Interests Residential Department since 2025. He was born and raised in Austin, Texas, before relocating to Madison from Denton, Texas, in the summer of 2022 after his graduation from the University of North Texas. Hayden is passionate about connecting with new customers and helping them find the perfect place to call home. He enjoys the people-centered nature of residential leasing and takes pride in making the apartment search process enjoyable and stress-free. In his free time, Hayden enjoys playing guitar, a hobby he has pursued since childhood, and exploring local trails with his wife, Holly, through hiking at National and State parks.

Danielle joined the ULI team as the residential administrative coordinator in 2026, and works to support our leasing agents and property managers in providing high-quality service to all our residents. Her previous work experience in non-profits and the service industry support her work philosophy of being detail oriented and people focused. Danielle’s favorite part of the role is being able to connect with others as she helps them in their process of finding a new home. When she isn’t at the office, Danielle can be found trying different recipes and spending time with her friends and family.

Mead has been with ULI since January 2023 as the Director of Commercial Property Management and Operations.  He has a diverse background in commercial real estate including development and management of retail, office, commercial, and warehouse/logistics space across the country.  Mead also has extensive operations and construction management experience.  He is a strong believer in building solid relationships that create synergy and promote operational excellence for all stakeholders.  When not at work, Mead can be found riding his motorcycle in search of the next great undiscovered roadside eatery.
 

Kedrick started at Urban Land Interests in Oct, 2024, directly supporting the maintenance team and their goals.   During his time running his own low voltage electrical business, he developed a passion for all things facilities and maintenance.   Directly before coming to work at Urban Land Interests Kedrick was a Field Maintenance Manager for a senior living company, supporting 60+ communities in 28 states.  Wanting to spend more time in Wisconsin and less time at airports he did not hesitate when the opportunity to come be a part of Urban Land Interests presented itself.  If you want to talk something besides work with Kedrick feel free to bring up the NHL.  Perhaps you would be interested in hearing about a new recipe he attempted to make for his wife and him at home.

Amanda works in the Commercial Operations department of ULI along with her staff April and Jenny. Together they manage a large range of things that include building/suite access management to creating, assigning technicians and billing maintenance requests. She joined ULI in 2020 where she  was somewhat new to commercial property management, but came from a senior living community where she was in operation roles for 10 years and has found a lot of similar fundamentals as it relates to property management and operations. Amanda states that no day is ever the same in her role which gives such great variety that she appreciates so much! Amanda feels the most enjoyable aspect of working at ULI is the tremendous team environment within this organization and says it is unmatched to any other job she’s had and makes it contagiously motivating! Outside of work, Amanda, her husband and two sons are long active members of a cycle club in Lake Mills where they partake in motocross events and are part owners of the club grounds. 

Paul joined the Urban Land Interests team in 2022, where he serves as coworking manager. Prior to ULI, Paul enjoyed a long career as a golf professional, developing a passion for growing the game while working with players of all ages and skill levels. Paul supports a diverse group of clients at Urban Office Co, Madison’s premier coworking space. Outside of work, he loves spending time in the outdoors with friends and family. 

Nicole has been with Urban Land Interests since 2026, as Urban Office Co’s Coworking Community Associate. With a background in communications and community engagement, Nicole supports our coworking community’s day-to-day operations. Outside of the office, she enjoys going to trivia, playing with her dog, and traveling. 

Kathi joined Urban Land Interests in August of 2023 as the Director of Accounting.  Kathi has over 30 years of experience in accounting, information systems, and process improvement including getting her yellow belt in LEAN. She enjoys working together to solve problems and improve business processes.  In her free time, you’ll find Kathi cheering on her favorite sports teams or singing whatever song pops into her head.

Emily Everhart has served as ULI’s Director of Human Resources since December of 2022. She is passionate about helping companies take care of their employees and fostering healthy and collaborative workplace cultures. Before joining ULI, Emily helped build high-performing HR teams in high-growth technology startups in Madison and San Francisco. She is a proud alumna of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and loves exploring all the fun Madison has to offer with her family. She enjoys many outdoor activities, travelling with family and friends, reading, and playing Ultimate Frisbee.  

Stephanie joined Urban Land Interests as the Human Resources Generalist in 2024. She manages payroll and benefits administration, supporting employees with day-to-day questions and ensuring processes run smoothly. She holds a degree in Human Resources Management and brings a solid foundation in HR operations. Outside of the office, she loves crocheting and is always working her way through a new sci-fi or fantasy book.
