The Dane County Farmers’ Market Returns for the 2025 Season

The Dane County Farmers’ Market is back for the 2025 season, bringing fresh, local goods to downtown Madison with both its popular Wednesday and Saturday markets.

Wednesday Farmers’ Market

Starting April 23 through November 5, the Wednesday market will take place on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., between the Madison Municipal Building and the City-County Building. This midweek market offers a relaxed, convenient shopping experience, featuring many of the same beloved vendors as Saturday’s market, with a selection of seasonal produce, farm-fresh eggs, artisan cheeses, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, flowers, plants, and specialty items.

For those working downtown, the Wednesday market is a great way to step away from the office, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy a refreshing break in the middle of the workday.

Wednesdays, April 23 – November 5
8:30 AM – 1:45 PM (Info Booth open until 1:00 PM)
200 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Saturday Farmers’ Market

A long-standing Madison tradition, the Saturday Dane County Farmers’ Market will return to the Capitol Square from April 12 through November 8. Known as the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the country, this vibrant, open-air market brings together Wisconsin farmers and artisans offering an abundance of fresh produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, and specialty items. Early arrival is recommended for the best selection, as vendors sell out quickly.

Saturdays, April 12 – November 8
6:15 AM – 1:45 PM
Capitol Square, Downtown Madison

Special Location Alert: On July 12, the market will be held at Breese Stevens Field (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM) due to Art Fair on the Square.

Both markets provide an excellent opportunity to support local farmers and enjoy the best of Wisconsin’s growing season. Whether stopping by on Wednesday for a quick midweek refresh or making a Saturday morning tradition out of it, the Dane County Farmers’ Market remains a staple of downtown Madison.
