Building Community: ULI’s Year-Round Commitment to Giving Back
As 2024 ends, our team is reflecting on Urban Land Interest, our residents’, and tenants’ contributions made to the Madison community through the year. ULI is proud to partner with causes that positively impact the city in which we live, work, and engage and believe that investing in this city we love is paramount to maintaining a thriving downtown environment.
Building a Stronger Community Together
Internally, our employees raised money and awareness for United Way of Dane County (UWDC). United Way strives to bring our community together to address big-picture issues such as working to provide children and families with the resources they need to lead a healthy, thriving, and secure life. In total, ULI employees and their families raised over $40,000 for UWDC. ULI has partnered with United Way for over 10 years and looks forward to another season of giving to support such a well-respected and valued organization.
Not all donation drives require large-scale planning and oversight, and ULI encourages our employees to identify causes close to them that can be positively impacted. An employee in ULI’s Commercial Leasing Department found many unused blankets and other goods, while walking through a recently vacated space, that the Dane County Humane Society could benefit from. From there, all it took was an email to other ULI coworkers and many rallied behind her call to collect items on the Humane Society’s wish-list (posted on their website here) and organize a drop-off. The items that would have been discarded have been repurposed to help keep the animals comfortable. This is the kind of innovative thinking and community-focused agenda ULI encourages.
